Frankie Goes to Bogota
It’s great to be back in the UK after two months touring South and Central America.
For the past ten years I have worked a semi-professional magician, performing primarily at the weekends. During the week I was a school teacher. I retired in July and now can devote myself fully to magic.
However, my wife and I decided to a good break first.
We began in Colombia. I taught at the Colegio Anglo Colombiao school when I was young. One of my former pupils is Harry Sasson, one of South America’s top chefs.
When he heard I was coming to pay a visit he laid on lunch for me, Sheila and my former pupils.
It was fantastic to meet the former students. They are all very successful now. Many now have their own children at the Anglo.
Of course, I couldn’t resist the temptation to entertain with some close up magic. As we were in a restaurant, I introduced some food-themed magic by concluding with a chosen card ends in a lime!
We spent about three weeks in Colombia, visiting different parts of the country. After that, we made out way to Panama, via the San Blas islands. More of that in a future post.
