Manchester Wedding Magician – Spring Update, Wedding Fair & A Favourite Moment

As a Manchester wedding magician, I spend much of my time performing at weddings, celebrations and events across the North West. Every now and then, it’s nice to pause and share a few highlights from recent weeks.

March has been a slightly quieter month — a welcome opportunity to step back, plan ahead, and spend time chatting with couples at the early stages of organising their weddings.

Wedding Fair at Last Drop Village

One of the highlights this month was attending a wedding fair at Last Drop Village & Spa.

It was a real pleasure meeting so many couples just beginning their wedding plans. There’s always something special about those first conversations — hearing your ideas, your venue plans, and what you want your day to feel like.

It’s an exciting stage… and sometimes a slightly overwhelming one too.

This is often where close-up magic fits in so naturally. During moments like the drinks reception or while guests are mingling, it helps break the ice, brings people together, and keeps the atmosphere flowing effortlessly.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat — it was lovely to meet you, and great to already hear back from some of you.

A Favourite Moment from a Recent Event

One of my favourite moments recently came at a Great Gatsby themed evening.

Dressed for the occasion, I was sharing some close-up magic with a small group when I revealed a guest’s teenage crush — which led to one of those brilliant, completely unplanned reactions.

There was a lovely ripple of laughter around the group as the moment landed, and she was absolutely delighted — especially as she had a small card to keep as a souvenir of the experience.

It’s often these smaller moments that people remember most. A few minutes of shared surprise and laughter can stay with people long after the event has finished.

A Small Behind-the-Scenes Update

I’ve also recently had some new leaflets designed, ready for the upcoming wedding and event season.

It’s been a really enjoyable process working with Kate Fox on the design — creating something that reflects the relaxed, sociable style of magic I bring to events.

They’ll soon be making their way out into the world, which is always a nice sign that the season is beginning to build.

Planning a Wedding or Event?

If you’re planning a wedding or celebration in 2026 — or even looking ahead to 2027 — now is a great time to start exploring ideas, especially for spring and summer dates.

Close-up magic works particularly well during the natural in-between moments of an event — while guests are arriving, during drinks receptions, or between courses — helping to create a warm, lively atmosphere where people feel relaxed and engaged.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for taking the time to read this update.

I’m looking forward to a busy season of weddings, parties and celebrations in the months ahead — and perhaps our paths will cross at an event soon
