A Winter Reset in Sweden — and a Busy Wedding & Events Season Ahead

January is traditionally a quieter month for magicians, so Sheila and I took the opportunity to enjoy a proper winter break in Sweden — a week of cross-country skiing and wild camping deep in the snow.

It was exactly the kind of reset needed before another busy year of weddings, parties and corporate events across the North West.

Our highlights included:

• Skiing through silent, snow-covered forests
• Travelling on expedition skis, pulling everything we needed behind us
• Spending two nights wild camping under clear Arctic skies
• A wonderfully bracing Swedish sauna followed by a dip in a frozen lake — exhilarating once you get your breath back!

Simple moments, but exactly what you need before diving back into a full calendar of celebrations.

Back to Weddings and Corporate Events in Manchester

Returning home, it was lovely to see how quickly the diary began filling for weddings and celebrations throughout spring and summer.

One January highlight was entertaining at the opening of BCLP’s new Manchester offices. Having previously performed for the team at their Christmas party, it was great to see familiar faces again and help them celebrate such an exciting milestone.

Events like these are a reminder of how powerful shared moments and laughter can be when bringing people together.

Another recent milestone I’m very proud of: reaching 140 Google reviews — all five stars.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a review after an event. It genuinely helps small independent businesses like mine more than you might imagine.

This month’s photo comes from a wedding reception, where the happy couple became part of some magic created just for them. I especially love the bride’s expression — pure joy and surprise in a moment shared with friends and family.
